Does the Certification Mean Anything?

Individuals want to be able to trust that the money that they pay and the work that they do to achieve the certification is recognized by the companies that seek employment with. Over the years numerous organizations rose up purporting to be a college or university and granting degrees and diplomas for a cost and no course work. These have been called “Diploma Mills” because all they produced were pieces of paper worth nothing more than the paper that they were printed on. It didn’t take long for reputable organizations to recognize that they were worthless.

As an instructor, I have always emphasized the importance of maximizing the performance of each of my students, in each class that I led. I saw the failure of any one of my students as a personal failure to my teaching effectively. Although this objective seems unrealistic, it is often the goal of every instructor at some time in their career.

The “New Normal” will, in all probability, include more situations like the “virus of 2020”! Companies and organizations that are “Work at Home” capable, would be best served to have “Remote” processing plans as a part of their “Disaster Response and Recovery plan.
